Effective online startup guys are doing a couple of things very well when it comes to ecommerce business.


1- Quality product research in choosing their products to sell and market for.
Top platforms to leverage in gleaming the world’s top trending selling products include AllieExpress, Facebook, Google Search Trends, Amazon.
Pick a product category you have an interest or passion in. If you care little about the business and only about the money you will most likely give up when times get hard. 


Once you pick a product category, spot check what the price point is on Amazon for that same product. You must be able to buy the product from a manufacturer and resell that product, AT A PROFIT, on your own ecommerce platforms’ for this business model to work.


2 – Quality marketing.
You may have a kick ass storefront on a well designed template, but if you have no traffic the business will fail. 


Commons way’s to generate traffic:
> Paid ads – Google, Social, Amazon, Youtube
> SEO – Long game i.e. 3-6 months
> Email campagins – buy an email list and market to them
> Affiliate links
